About MeteoMate

MeteoMate tries to describe the weather not as a pile of numbers but as a sentence that tells you what to do about it. The same rules run on the website and in the app, so you read the same weather in the same words in both places.

Where the data comes from

For each country, whichever source is best there:

• Türkiye — MGM station observations and MeteoAlarm warnings, with the ECMWF IFS 9 km model for the forecast.
• The Netherlands — KNMI's 10-minute station observations, national warnings and the HARMONIE-AROME 2.5 km model.
• The rest of the world — Google Weather.

The city list holds 4,952 places: Turkish provinces and districts from the MGM list, Dutch places from the official PDOK (Kadaster) registry, and world cities from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0).

Who makes it

MeteoMate is built by Hava Durumu LLC. No ads, no accounts, no trackers.
